FOREX & PROP FIRM INTELLIGENCEHow our reviews work

Country context

Choosing a broker
in South Africa.

Verify the financial services provider and the permissions relevant to the derivative product, including the role of any counterparty.

Begin with the local authority

Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) is a starting point for checking current permissions and investor information. Rules can change; read current official information and identify the exact company and product involved.

Confirm your contracting entity

A global brand can direct residents of different countries to different companies. Find the company name in your account agreement, check its permissions and confirm whether it can offer the product to you. Do not assume that another country’s compensation or dispute scheme covers your account.

Check practical account conditions

Review base currency, conversion costs, identity verification, funding ownership rules and withdrawals. Check whether the local version supports the platform you need.
